Irish Wedding Transport that we love

In this weeks blog piece I would like to discuss the topic of transportation for your Irish wedding day. This would definitely be one the items that I would book as early as possible. What you arrive in can definitely create a huge impression, it can also create a beautiful backdrop for fabulous wedding photos and add a great amount of style and panache to your wedding day.

Do not assume the only option open to you is the traditional choice. Currently there are allot of options on the Irish Market from sports cars to vintage buses. Have a read of the below list of wedding transportation options and hopefully something will catch your eye or get your imagination going. Ps if you have a great friend or family member that could loan you a car for the day that would be a great way to save a couple of hundred quid.

When I got married five years ago the traditional choice of Limousines were definitely all the fashion – Mercedes and Bentleys are timeless classics that will never age and that is what keeps them incredibly popular amongst Irish Brides and Grooms today but other options have come on the market since then.

Vintage Vehicles such as Rolls Royce Silver Cloud are still guaranteed to turn heads. I chose a Silver Cloud for my wedding and I have to say we both absolutely loved the feel and the look of it. It is difficult to get the real mccoy but if you are not worried about being too authentic then there are many “new” vintage cars available that will give you that vintage look with the reliability factor

American classics such as Chevrolet’s or Cadillac’s definitely will add that wow factor to your arrival and would give you some fabulous wedding photos. Also great if you are looking to add that 50’s or 60’s theme to your wedding.

Luxury Sports Car – Who does not love the speed and excitement of a Sports car. From being James Bond in an Aston Martin to turning heads in a Lamborghini. It would definitely be one of the talking points of your wedding day.

Vintage VW Camper Van or Vintage Wedding Bus– These had to be on the list just because they are so cool. The VW Van or Wedding Bus would be perfect for a vintage styled wedding and also really practical as they can transport your bridal party. These would definitely be remembered by your guests for weddings to come.

Tractor: Why not add the quirk factor to your day with a spruced up tractor as your transportation. Although there are some drawbacks such as space and the chance of getting wet if it rains, I definitely think that this would be a talking point of your wedding day. Also great if you are going for a rustiq theme. 

Whatever wedding transport you choose for your big day be sure that you do the following

2. Look for reviews of the company from previous clients
3. Inspect the car and make sure that it is in good condition
4. Consider the option of getting a car for your bridesmaids
5. Ensure that the provider fully knows the entire journey
6. Discuss the price
